His story
Meet Felix.
Felix is a bright, funny little boy — Spider-Man on repeat, glasses always slightly crooked, best friends with his puppy.
He was diagnosed with an ultra-rare mitochondrial disease. There is no treatment and no cure yet, and so little data exists on his particular variant that his family is partly writing the map as they go. It means therapy every week — physical, occupational, speech — a long list of specialists, and travel for care. They're carrying all of it while keeping his days as normal and joyful as possible. Everything raised on the day goes to them.
